All her life, Sorrel has been a wandering nomad in a world of ruins. After a perilous journey to the tower of her ancestors, she discovers a relic from a time when her world was whole; a man named Arcas. 
 

Arcas is the only one who remembers the lost secrets of the tower’s technology, and the last hope to end a seven hundred year war waged by the immortal elites who control the tower.  
 

Sorrel and Arcas set out to survive in their dystopian world. Together they will piece together what is left after seven centuries of oppression and decay, fighting to build a better future.
